Osteopath Consultation & Treatment


Your osteopath will begin by understanding the events in detail that led up to your pain, what happened and how things have changed since onset of pain. I will look at posture, joints, muscle movement patterns/restrictions. I would recommend you wear a bra, vest, leggings or shorts. I will at first appointment ask questions about current problems, past injuries, operations, other investigations, sports and exercise routine and other medical care/ medication you have received.

 

Be aware that the case history part will taker about 90 minutes.

During the examination:

 

You will be asked to do some simple movements to assess your range of movement and where pain starts for you. This will be followed by medical, orthopaedic, neurological and special tests to access the health of your joints, tissues and ligaments. An explanation of the findings and treatment plan will be discussed with you.

Osteopathy Treatment

In this and each follow up session we will assess the area and take in consideration your feedback since last treatment before we start the session. As standard practice here at clinic our therapist will modify the osteopathic treatment when needed.
